About Roles

Roles are a description of an employee’s primary purpose and value they are expected to bring to the business. This description should set clear expectations for the beginning of your journey with us. Some of the skills you already have and may be the reason we hired you, some may have to be learned and shaped as you spend time with us.

A role must be defined before hiring someone by the hiring team. We must be clear about the expectations we have before, during and after hiring staff.

Expectations

Expectations are measurable requirements defined for each role. The hiring team must set minimum requirements for roles and desirables which a candidate may be actively working to or commit to doing so once they have joined.

It’s useful practice to define expectations, not just for potential recruits, but also to help build skills within our teams. Expectations outline what we are looking for and can be used to create career development plans for our existing team.

Beyond your role

Our expectations have set the entry bar for any given role and are therefore a starting point. We expect everyone meet their role expectations but more importantly, we want to work with people who want to find more ways to help the company and exceed their role by growing into their next one.

We will reward such effort with extra responsibility/activities or even a new role.  We want to foster a culture where everyone feels empowered to perform in their role, help them grow and push into their desired direction aligned with the companies ambitions.

If you are on a growth path and want to progress in your career then this will be a great way to get promoted. Read more about 'Your career' here.
